Dear all My daughter has asked me to take her fishing on her 7th birthday during the July school holidays. A friend who fishes is loaning me the gear and he will set up the rods etc to suit our needs. It has been a long time since I went fishing but my daughter wants to be alone with me so I cannot take an experienced fisher with me. I have a copy of the NSW Saltwater fishing guide. I am familiar with Middle Harbour as a kayaker but not as a fisherwoman. I need tips on fishing spots that are 1 safe for kids 2 are easily accessible though a short bush walk is okay 2 are on the water's edge so do not require a boat as my daughter is still learning to swim without a floatie 3 is on the north side preferably as friends there will care for my other daughter 4 provides have a good chance of a novice catching a fish - a fish that we can eat would be nice but not essential 5 does not require a dawn start to get a fish ( it's holidays and she is very hard to wake early during winter) thanks all
