  2. Mate, Towing a 700-800kg formosa with a BA Falcon with no problem. would agree with the others. something wrong with the car. went down to JB at average 95k/h with no issues. i noted though fuel quality had a significant impact. went down on vpower which was great. came back up on the local stuff and the car struggled. cheers. Dan
  3. Firstly Steve mate, sorry for your loss. Not too sure if i can help out but let us know if there is. mate I know the feeling. I would have to agree with Cungee George on his above quote. Today's motivation on fines and checks seems to be purely based on improving bottom line figures. I too have called the police for several theft issues and was very disappointed with their help. Unfortunately I personally think forums such as this does more for public awareness and recovery then law enforcement. I'm not saying the police don't try, I just don't think that put these issues high on their priority lists. Mate I will definitely keep a look out for your trailer and hope everyone does. Not to sound cheesy but unfortunately I think we as a recreational group need to band up and question / report anything that looks suss as i think this will make it more difficult for these F&*KS to get away with this. i've noticed many times people just dont say anything even though something someone is doing doesn't look right. cheers Dan
  4. Cheers mates, going to the bay again this weekend. Rigs = 4 plastics on the bed, with a beer. Cheers, Dan
  5. I was fishing the bay yesterday with a mate. While my mate looked after the burley created the night before over a few too many beers and after a few hours with nothing biting I started playing around with a few different rigs / techniques. 4 rods, 2 baited running sinker rigs and just for a laugh I sent out a couple of plastics and just left them sitting on the bay bed. I don't use plastics that often but will probably change that now as within half an hour 1 of the plastics was taken but a decent flatty. Moved spots and again put out the 4 rigs, yet again nothing took the baits but caught a few small flatties on the motionless plastics. Don't know if anyone else uses this technique which I guess is not the normal method? wouldn't mind seeing if anyone else has tried a laughable technique that worked? Cheers Dan
