Called sweep, because you sweep them off the boat back into the water...Nothing special in eating quality Just pains in the ass while fishing, pecking your baits off You'll find that you jag a lot of them in the side of the head instead in the mouth

Hey all; Headed out the other weekend with a couple young keen guys from work for a play in Botany Bay.. (they cracked the first beer at 7:00am). Tried first runway, nothing but a stingray (thought was a nice Flatty). Headed further out towards Kurnell, because looked like the winds werent coming in as early as predicted. C&R a flounder although legal and a couple small flathead, nice female crab (no eggs) that i let go also (look like full of water, let her breed) and of course another Stingray. Anchored elsewhere, with berly...Tadarrr Stingray and Banjo shark. My mate did have a good time catching the shark thou being his first one... Later in the day dropped to nice (expected Bream) So not my day...But the boys enjoyed the day and the case that went with it Unfortunately i was the DD Whats doing with all the rays, never heard all caught that many.. Anyone else catching a few too?

I know..Everyone knows that. So why dont they. If they get caught once or even twice, they might have second thoughts about doing it again. The fine has to be significant enough thou to stop them. I was so P.... off when i saw that clip i wanted to call up fisheries to see if they could do something. Talk myself out of it because i just knew there would no action...

This is definately a topic thats angers me all time, because you see it so often. Me too have never been checked by fisheries since ive been fishing (30 years). Ive used all the popular boats (botany Bay, Port Hacking) and not once seen them. Ill be so happy to show my catch each time i went fishing, wouldnt care as i have nothing to hide. If your ever not sure on size limit you just put it back,Simple...If your in doubt its probably to small anyway Something needs to happen, because their the people who are giving recreational fishing the bad name. Hello raiders, This is my first post, so see how it goes. Finally got out fishing a couple times over the past week (had to take week off work to make it happen) with a mate who doesnt get out fishing much himself and enjoyed everyminute of it. Been that long, nearly forgot how to fish. Anyway Friday was most enjoyable on Botany Bay and even managed to take home a feed. Caught my first flathead on SP at 48cm, about to wonder if my pick in SP works. We managed a couple trevallys and a nice flounder to go with it on bait. Been reading reports about all the PJ's around, and their not wrong.. We caught four of the big buggers which on light gear was fun anyway. Unfortunately did see a fellow fisho keep a undersize fish which was to my much disappointment (needs to stop)but all in all a great day out Enjoy reading all your reports and hope this is as well Until next time
