Hey Guys,
After a recent move I now have the beautiful Sydney Harbour as my local waterway. Problem is, I've never fished it before so I neither know of any decent spots or the hazards of taking a kayak out on certain stretches of the Harbour. I'm really only after chasing kings or similar prized bycatch (don't want to sound like a wanker but I've already found my estuary spots!). I've been scoping out the boat ramp at Manns Pl, Greenwich, which looks promising and there looks to be some decent structure within paddling (or peddling since its a Hobbie) distance from the ramp. Just have a few questions I'm hoping you guys can help me with:
- Am I completely mad trying to get around on the Harbour in a kayak?!?
- Can you fish around the pylons in Snails Bay? Do they hold Kings?
- Are there much better spots in the Harbour accessible by kayak that hold Kings?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I can return the favour by offering info on Botany Bay
Cheers,
Hamsy
