I replaced the transom in a boat i bought which was done professionally & it is strong as ever i have taken a 70hp motor off it $ put on a 115hp it is the best part of the boat.

How bad do they rock & are they glass or aluminium.

I use the deep jig 400 set up for jigging & i use the nitro for live bait. Like the others no problem with the deep jig 400.

Jono i have 2 saragosa 14000 one on a deep jig 400 & the other on a nitro kamakasi.

Was at refuge bay with the family & i experienced the same thing it was everywhere on the boat in the trees & floating in the air.

I fish down there on a regular basis try middle ground comes up to about 20m look the gps points up. This time of year you might jag a king.

I have the Nitro set up for live baiting & i have the T curve set up for jigging on the 62 lb i run 80 lb leader i have caught 10kg plus kings on the Nitro set up.

I have a saragosa 14000 on a t curve deep jig 400 running 80 lb braid over it. I also have the same reel on a nitro kamikase running 62 lb braid,the shimano deep jig has been around a while & I have mates down the south coast have caught big tuna with it.

I would suggest the 6500 but for about $50 more you can pick up a Shimano Saragosa 14000 probably a better reel if you are tackling Kings in the island of the long lost cloud.

What did you get the Kings on squid or yellow tail

You can pick up a Penn 950 spinfisher for about $ 200 I have caught & 10kg Kingy on no problems. Another good reel for Kings is the Shimano Saragosa 14000 about $ 350 but a fantastic reel.
