  1. Today my son and I started at Pretty Beach warf and headed to Lobster Beach after having a successful afternoon there on friday with my mate Ray.We saw Ray and Hucho out there and were having a great time fishing together. We were out there by about 7am and after about 20 minutes I was getting good hits and got the first flattie of the day. Another one came soon after and my son who hadnt yet caught a fish on plastics was starting to get frustrated, as he was talking to me he got a hit and sure enough he was on and got his first fish on plastics. We continued to drift around Lobster Beach and were continually reeling in flatties, while my son and I were keeping track of how many we were catching. After about an hour Jacob was on with a monster flathead, we got a look at it and could not get it in the net after his knot broke. Another 30 minutes later I had a decent one on for myself which measured to be 65cm a PB on fridays 63cm which we let go. For the next 2 hours we continued to drift and with great success. We began to head back to the ramp at about 12, throwing a line out every now and then. We finished the day with a total of 14 fish, 13 flatties and 1 bream, which we kept 3 for a BBQ lunch. Jacob got 5 and I got 9. It was a great day of fishing with my son and mates, cant wait to get out there again
  2. Nice post ray, thanks for an awesome and action packed afternoon on the water, loving the plastics, cant believe how active it was. Such a great type of fishing, I'm very keen to get out there again with you.
  3. Today was a spur of the moment thing, after finishing my plans for the day by about midday i said to my son we'll go out on the boat for the afternoon. So I got my mate John Till and my 2 sons Jacob and Matty to come out for the arvo. We were just going to have a wakeboard and ski but thought we might as well throw in our new plastic gear that Ray has introduced us to. After wakeboarding and water skiing in Woy Woy Bay we drove out just infront of the entrance to Woy Woy Bay and threw a line out. After about 10 minutes Tilly had a nice flatty, I was stoked for him and was keen to get one for myself. Another 10 minutes later i landed a flatty too. We stayed out there for another half an hour or so and only got a few bites, unfortunatly neither of my sons caught anything but did have a great day on Brisbane Water. It was a good hour of relaxing fishing and headed in with 2 flatty both around 50-55cm. Thanks must go to Ray for the intro to plastics. A very enjoyable afternoon with the boys
