hey guys I was given some gps co-ordinates in this format 33 21 27.9 151 34 53.44. now with my mates gps unit I can only enter in this format 33 28 730 151 32 080. Now do I need to convert these somehow, or remove decimal points. i cant seem to make them work. ps the numbers i have used here are just random numbers to make my point, they dont relate to any great fishing spot thanks robert A

hey guys fished brisbane waters for a few nice bream, and 2 snapper one of which measured 45cm which was a huge suprise never thought they grew that big in those waters.

hi guys im based in hornsby and thinking of trying the humps. firstly is it worth the effort considering im in hornsby. desperately want some decent snapper. what ramp is best to get to the humps. my pb snapper is 45cm from brisbane waters need to beat that. ive got gps coordinates for it fron a book do you fish right on it or is there an area off it that fishes best. any coordinates would be appriciated rob

its 40m deep how do ou get a plastic down that deep what size head would you use

can i ask, with the squid i cant catch them if my life depends on it. Whats the best store bought squid to use either tackle shop squid which dont look too great usually or seafood shop squid where the quality is definatley better but i dont know where they are from and what species to use calamari or squid australian or overseas. I live near hornsby where do the local guys around here buy there squid from

Hi all Headed out on wenesday morning for a fish with my mate. Put boat in at Parsley bay and seeing the weather was nice headed outside heads hoping to get some reds. was hoping to have lines in the water before sunrise but we were a little late looks like I have to get up earlier than 5am next time. Went out near Reggies and Birchgrove park. We did get 2 snaper just under legal size and half dozen sweep. Squid and pilchards as bait. Heard reports of some big snapper coming in hopefully next time we will get their older siblings. Paternosta rig was used, I tried a 5inch gulp with 3/8oz headbut no luck with that, im only new with the plastics still dont know what im doing. Do you guys think Reggies and surrounding area is not the place for bigger reds, do I have to venture a little further? A few weeks ago I was in pittwater fishing near barrenjoey headland and western side of Palm beach when I caught a fairly large octopus wanted to eat it but apparently there is only 3 species of octopus that can be eaten and I didnt want to take the chance. Would anyone know what kind it would be I dont have a pic but I cant imagine there would be many species in pittwater. Overall it was the size of a football.

Went out in boat with daughter for a fish hoping to get a feed. Not much happening. We put boat in at bobbin Head fished in the area for a few hours with prawns only got a few small snapper all thrown back. Went around to pittwater tried near the basin caught 1 nice flatty and that was it. Pretty disappointing really for the effort. Have read about kingfish highway, supermarket and other wrecks valiant etc would anyone be so kind as to share there locations either here or privately Id be much appriciated as would my little one she is losing hope in her dads fishing capabilites lol

Finally got out on the water after 8 months not wetting a line. Rain was predicted and the weather boyus got it right, it pissed down on us but we werent going to let that stop us. Put boat in at bayview went straight to scotand island hoping to get some squid. Got none Went up to middle pittwater near portugueses bay caught a couple of nice whiting on tubeworms, 3 little snapper and a nice fat bream. Spent 2 hours on the water was pretty happy with that. Was disappointed on not scoring any squid not sure if rain had to do with it or if we were in the wrong spot.

any places close to terrigal to get worms apart form the entrance. I have caught a few in the past at north entrance beach halve way to norah head but living at terrigal its a bit far

any tips on where in chipping norton lake i might head out there for a try

An asian guy that was fishing there said thats where he got his worms from on the georges river. Bit far for me as I live near hornsby
