  1. add any sort of current and you are over 550 metres, that is hard work. My mates stella 20000 could not get to the bottom in a "normal" current.
  2. Mate I am looking at something very similar and am pricing up a terez as we speak. They seem to be geeting some great reviews. Rather than the Salina however I am looking at the Ryobi Carnelian. Good luck
  3. Agree, I would talk to someone who knows there stuff like Huey, setting up the motor/prop selection is vital. I purchased my boat from one of Sydney's biggest boat dealer and the motor was set up to low. I took it to Huey and has been sweet ever since.
  4. Now that does not happen every day! That is huge boys...enjoy

    Thanks Huey!

I will vouch for these guys, I couple of weeks I had my engine lifted (could have done it in Sydney's south under waranty but live in the North). Saved the money on fuel and these guys looked after me, they noy only lifted it but cleaned the engine, sprayed some anti corrosion spray inside, gave me a few tips and all for a really good price. This is where I am going for my e-tec servicing for sure. Should have got my boat from them as well, lesson learned.
  6. That is an awesome story....have not had a day like that in a long long time
  7. Carbontex upgrade witha bit of Cal's grease. Easy enough to do just make sure you don't over grease them. Plenty of tutorials on yutube etc. can be bought from Smooooth Drags in the US or Jack Erskine. I have an Avet comin in from the states and the first thing I will do is break it down, lightly grease the carbon washer and grease all the screws etc.
  8. I am also considering the Gossa 8000 to put on a St Croix Mojo 10' spin outfit. Interested in the replies as I am tossing it up against the Daiwa Saltist 4500. Brownie.
  9. How did I go, turned up at daybreak fresh squid and salted pillies in hand. Sea was calm and wind was mild......pretty much a bust. Saw one small bonnie and one sambo landed over 6 hours. A bit different from last week where I dropped a 4-6 kg kingie on at my feet (no gaff). Still a nice day to be out and saw a big pod of dolphns, but nadda for the eskie. Full moon maybe? This spot still produces but not last Saturday. Brownie (aka WUCC)

Any raiders heading up that way feel free to say hello ...Brownie ps: I am will be the one picking out the overrun from the abu whilst soemone else is landing fish!
