Thanks for all the input guys.. my wife never eats fish, but once i cooked some fillets.. she was HOOKED!! Have to admit, the fish was AMAZING! Once fish was at room temp i marinated with rock salt, cracked pepper, little garlic salt, sweet paprika, oregano and left it sitting in olive oil for 30min..

Thanks for the reply.. been told that parra river has cleaned up alot the last few years but still weary of eating anything that comes out of there!!

Hi guys, Just curious to see if everything is edible from port hacking? Not so much when the water is nice and clear but just a little concerned about eating fish that were caught in this filthy water we have had the last few days in the hacking due to the rain?? Species caught were Kings and Jews.. Cant wait to fry some fillets but thought id ask first. Would love some of your input. Dean.

Hey raiders Last month or so I have been doing a lot of squiding, mainly for bait.. But since the freezer is now full with mainly arrows, I decided to chase some big green eyes for a nice feed.. I have plenty of jigs (size 1.8 - 3.0) I've been out to bare island last couple of trips with the wife and hooked up to only one decent size greeny.. I have lost quiet a few jigs down there.. We start at the mainland side of bare island and make our way along the rocks all the way up to Larpa.. Quiet a lot of snags and can't seem to find a decent spot.. I've done PLENTY of research on squiding so I think I know what I'm doing but any input would be great.. (Only if your willing to give it up) I really really want to catch a few big calamari for the table so any info would be MUCH appreciated.. I'm also looking for a small run about to get out on the water so if anyone has anything sitting around that's ready for the water and willing to sell it, please let me know.. HANGING to chase those kings that have started to come in to the bays.. Hope the fish have been biting!! Dean.

Hey raiders, So it's that time of the year that work gets a little bit too Much.. On top of that im getting married in june and renovating our house, so as you can imagine the stress levels are through the roof In saying that I've been doing a lot of fishing to wind down after work during the week from various wharfs but with not much happening.. So I've decided it's about time I hire myself a boat... I do have my license but sold my boat few years back.. I'm heading out tomorrow from Greys point and was wondering if anyone can give me some good tips on fishing port hacking.. I'm mainly after kingfish or snapper.. Any great spots that you wouldn't mind sharing would be great.. Hopefully I can post some awesome pics once I get back.. Thanks guys!! Dean.

Hey guys.. Happy Aussie day!! Just a quick post and a few questions.. I'm heading out tonight for a fish.. Im going to try my luck for some Jews.. I'll let you know how I go and hopefully post a few pics of some monsters.. Can anyone help me out as to where to go? I dont have a boat so Im stuck with land based spots.. I've been chasing a Jew for about 5 months now and I still have not caught one.. I think I'm doing everything right but maybe it's the spots? Ive had a few runs in parra river at drummoynne wharf and down at cabarita.. And I think I'll be heading to drummoynne tonight.. Can anyone point me in the right direction?? Much love.. Dean

Hey guys, It's been a while since I've been on here and a fair few months since I've even dropped in a line!! Anyways this weekend we have come down to jervis bay for the mrs bday and a trip out tomrrow in the bay with my father in law.. Just wondering if any of u gents can help me as its been a long time since I've landed anything decent!! I'm after mainly kings..but I'd love anything!! Please guys any great spots I can get out to? We have a boat and we going to hit up any spot that looks good in the bay.. We are launching at husski.. Pm me if need be.. I'd appreciate it greatly!! I'll let use know how I go anyways.. Hey guys.. Heading out at 5am tomorrow morning.. We were thinking of going for kings.. Land based tho.. Any good spots for kings? Early morning.. What baits would suit best? My freezer is full of yellowtail.. Been out a lot lately but not much luck.. Hoping you raiders can point me in the right directions. Hope to post up some nice pics when we get back! Cheers guys! Hey guys.. Headed out to lugarno tonight for a fish on the river.. Chasing jewfish but ended up with a few very nice bream using yellow tail fillets.. The biggest 45cm close to 1kg.. Bigg! Started fishing around midnight and had some decent hits.. Still chasing that friken Jew! Anyways come 3am current got a little too strong and the bites stopped.. Anyone fish down here? Or opposite the bay at old ferry wharf rd? Was at drummoynne ferry wharf the night before but only a few small bream.. And obviously the yellow tail in big numbers.. It's been a little quiet the last few months at drummoyne.. Anyone have any luck on the parra river lately? Dean..

Hey guys.. This being my first ever post, I may aswell tell u guys about my trip the other day.. So we headed down to kiama for some rock fishing.. 2 nice salmon and a rock cod the whole day.. Not too bad but would have loved a few more.. Using whole pillies.. Been chasing that elusive jewfish for some time now.. Always manage to get a few hits and a buzzing spool however never goes my way.. I once got told ur gonna miss a heap before u land one.. So hopefully my next outing I can post some pics of an awesome Jew.. Any tips guys? Been fishing for a while but still got a lot to learn.. Dean.
