anyone that regularly buys stuff on Ebay should get a laugh from this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYokLWfqbaU...ted&search=

  5. i might come down, im waiting for the mrs to get home, ill see if she is keen, if not i might just bring my young bloke, ill post again later if im a definite
  6. i read in the local paper quite a while back that some of the lakes had been stocked with Bass fingerlings, does anyone know if you are allowed to fish the lakes, and if there is any size in these bass?
  7. dont know much about jeeps, im a nissan owner, wouldnt imagine they would be too hard to lift, if you only raise it 2 inches it should be fairly straight forward, if you go bigger you would need more than just springs and shocks, you would need longer panhard rods and other bits and pieces, bigger tyres will knock your gearing out a bit, and it will put your speedo out too
  8. i always read reports of people catching kings and jewies there, ive tried the area several times in my boat and never had any luck, perhaps ive just been there at the wrong times. nice deep water though
  9. ive never been to kurnell, but ive driven stockton beach plenty of times, dont forget to purchase a permit before driving on stockton. if you are interested in 4wd you might like to have a look at this site http://www.downunder4x4.net/
  10. Nepean river has heaps of em,try between Penrith weir and yarramundi. also south creek has heaps of them, not sure if there is any water in south creek at the moment though
  11. we used to catch truck loads of the bludgers in the nepean as kids. we used 3kg line, with a simple running sinker rig with swivel and about 40cm leader, for bait we used to use bread or dough, but they will eat corn or worms too. we used to get them up to about 8kg, which are great fun on light gear, most of what we caught were around the 1-2kg mark
  12. ive caught quite a few good Bream around sow ans pigs reef, i like to anchor at the eastern end of it and fish the bottom of the tide, berley withbread, wheat and any oild fish scraps. the drift a peeled hawksbury prawn down the berley trail with no sinker. this method is very effective, and you will also catch trevally, snapper and kings with this method. i usually use 3-4kg gear. hope this helps
  13. a lot of the regulars there were saying the same thing, apparently since Wayne and Kathy sold it, the prices have sky rocketed, we usually camp there, but this year we stayed in one of the new cabins. didnt loose anything to the local thieves, i know people who did though. we actually caught one of the little unsavoury characters about 5 years ago and gave him a good beating down on the sand flat
  14. small world, wouldnt of been easter, we do go up every xmas for 2 weeks though, have been staying there for the last 5 years, and have re booked for next year too
  15. thanks mate, shes an oldie but a goodie, its a 1980 haines 565r with a 140 johnson, i had the motor rebuilt about 3 years ago, the hull is still good as new, gets me out there fishing which is the main thing
  16. just a few pics i took over xmas at lemon tree while on holidays my boat
  17. go down to your local boat ramp on a week day when no one else is waiting to use the ramp, and practice launching and retrieving. always make sure you have removed tie down straps before you back the trailer in. depending on what type of boat and trailer you have, you may be able to drive the boat on and off.
  18. trolling close to the bank can produce results too, i havent fished down that end of the river for a few years, i mainly fish the Nepean these days
  19. LMAO, some of them are quite amusing
  20. Bar point is another spot that produces jewies occasionally

    Help Quickly

i agree with johnno. rose bay ramp is good. its well set up. you can launch and pull straight onto the jetty without getting feet wet. great on cold winter mornings
  22. there is usually bream to be caught along the eastern side of the island. there is a drop off into the channel, if you berley there you should get bream and soapy jews. flathead on the drift too, but they seem to be getting scarce these days
  23. well done on the kingys fish lipps, i think i may have hooked one while i was there. i was floating peeled prawns down the berley on 3kg gear and hooked something that was big and fast. it ripped off about 50 metres of line before busting me off.
  24. was on the water by 6am, headed out to molinaux point to get some livies, got 3 yakkas then headed over to the runway, berleyed hard for an hour and got nothing. had a drift over the bay for bugger all. we then headed to watts reef and again berleyed hard, once the tide stopped running we picked up 2 legal snapper and 2 trevally. didnt get much else after that, just one reasonable size tailor. wasnt a great day, but at least we got a feed and it was the first time my mrs has ever caught a decent size fish
