We've always called them butchers c##ks like the saying slimey as a butchers c##k , but there ok on the table from what I've been told , I've never tried them. There a wrasse of some type. Possibly a southern Maori wrasse.

I've stopped putting traps out due to having them stolen , last time I did I had 5 traps all with correct sized floats with boat rego on stolen . The time before had 3 out of five stolen , time before that had 3out of 4 stolen , a few scumbags out there I'd like to use as bait.

Slightly wider about 75m had 19c and good haul of flathead to 54cm , small hooks / baits were getting whiting . If only the weather was like that everyday.
