  1. in my younger days circa early1980's caught snapper from that very spot in photo as well as witnessed snapper up to 6kg on salted tuna and kingies up to 15kg on live yellowtail.

Those days with a decent 4WD you could drive most of the way in. Use to stay at the Currarong Caravan Park and fished there in our fishing club events as well as ANSA Tournaments. Go Mascot Anglers...

Maybe yes; maybe no. The bloke may get away with it if inspectors are unable to find sufficient evidence of the offence. From the reading just done, spearing Gropers appears to necessitate court action rather than an on-the-spot fine. Evidence would need to be sufficient to proceed to court. Here is an example

you would think the photos taken would be sufficient evidence??

@Little_Flatty You can target luderick at night mainly on the flats. Most catch them using yabbies /nippers or squirt worms down my way, though peeled prawns work as well. It’s also an effective way of catching them in daylight hours just after their spawning cycle.

use to catch heaps in the Cooks River near the breakwall on wriggler worms around Aug/Sept spawning time.

Good report Albert. Shows that sometimes the lures don't have to be really expensive to get the fish. Probably more important how you use them. Keep up the good work and the reports. bn

Those metres of colourfully packed devices are more for luring fishers rather than fishes :)

  5. Little Bay Beach is good and protected and almost fishable in any wind other than a straight easterly.

Always get bream from the beach when it's a big swell outside and blackfish in the "rockpool" on the southern side.

  6. I still have my self built (circa 1975) and use a Butterworth MT 4144 for blackfish/general light estuary fishing. Nice long and light rod and well balanced when using an Alvey sidecast blackfish reel. Used this reel so didn't have to cart around a second reel for bream etc off the rocks.

  7. big kiungies love live trevally.... lots of memories at "The Tubes" Jervis Bay in the late 1970's and early 1980's. We club juniors would  have lots of fun catching blurters up to around 1-2 kgs then the seniors would put them (the blurters) under a balloon and then waited and hold on!!!! Big kingies, tuna, sharks and also saw a marlin landed there too.

  9. for efficiency/free power use MPPT DC/DC Charger with solar input

depending on how fancy and space you have you could also have panel on boat so that battery/ies are topped up when out and not motoring along- would run 12V fridge/freezer as well.

2ndly have trailer connected to vehicle electrics while towing, choices/choices
