  1. I agree with you 100% surface lures are the way to go! That would be great to see some of those from your old mag. I will hit up the fish shop tomorrow morning, and grab some of the ones you listed. Also to Bass Assassin my gear that I use is a Penn GP 8' Rod and a Penn PowerGraph III 7000 with 30lb braid line and a 20-25lb mono leader. Cheers - I'll drop you a PM next time i'm out and about!
  2. I am using 30lb Braid. I also have a Halco Laser Pro 160DD Red Head (Do you think I would be able to throw that far) if the wind is in the right direction?
  3. Thanks - Yeh I have also heard from the back side of it if you can cast that far with metals and off a boat there is kingies lying around too. I really want to give lures a crack here I have some stump jumpers and a big halco laser pro red head(neck). but I can't seem to cast these far from shore...any tips?? Thanks Again
  4. Hey All, My first post! I am planning on going fishing in the next weekends down at Bass and Flinder's Point at Cronulla (On the left hand side of the statue closer to North Cronulla Side). It is off the rocks there and there seems to be this little bombie which gets surfed when the waves are big. I am just wondering if the fishing off this point is any good, what type of fish are there (I want to try for some larger fish hopefully off here). I also tried some lures for a long time last week nearby and had no luck at all. What tips for fishing this spot can you give me with lures and bait? Any tips on lure fishing off there would be awesome! Cheers
