    When fishing this style of rig, are you casting out or just dropping your bait directly down and holding your bait just of the bottom? I have been trying to Target pigs of late. I have been persisting with a black fish rig, would I be better of ditching the float?

    Hi all, There has been a lot of talk recently about mud crabs in our local waterways. All the talk has me wanting to secure a few for a feed. My question is however, what to look out for to Target these guys. I know the qld guys Target them near mangroves. How ever I have heard 2 reports of muddies in lake conjola. Problem is, conjola does not have any mangroves in it's system?

    Thanks for your reply. Is there any pink baitfish that exist? Had any expirence with jigs that glow for use at night?

    Hey jez, Take a look at the teach a man how to fish section, there is a fellow whom offers to take others and show them how to catch darkies. Also, take a look at you tube to get a look at how others go about fishing for them. They are one of the better eating fish.

    Thanks to all for their reply's. Got into piglets off banisters head and also dolphins point over the last few days. Unfortunatly bar 1 fish at 33cm, piglets are all I could find.

    Any members able to recommend any pig fishing spots on the South Coast that produces. Not long got into chasing blackies from the rocks, very keen to get amongst some pigs if any one can assist?

    Spot on with your recommendation KEV. I am a Burrill Lake resident and found the lake very slow of late. have been informed many times over of good flatty and bream taken of lateat the kings Point Ski Club as well. I had been nailing the Luderick closer to the mouth lake mid last month. Flattys are in plague proportions of Burrill / Dolphin Point beach. although the majority are under size. No shortage of salmon as well. I have been spending my free time chasing Luderick and black drummer from the rocks of late.
