    hey gid i'll take you boat fishing if you teach me the basics off fly fishing :biggrin2:

    i live local to parra and we put the boat in at whalf road ermington[5 mins. from parra]

    i feel you need to hook a kingy on 6lb in the harbor to really get to know sydney fishing :1yikes:

    anyway the fishing will pick up soon come on spring

    when you go up the mountains check out lake oberon or lake lyle and if it has water in it, the cox's river

    i have them and blow bulbs all the time. if you do it. get the LED ones.

    but i think i would prefer to stay with the light board. my old boat used the board in place of the trailor strap.

    submersible lights dont save you that much time when you think about it

    How Are The Stessco Range?

    Hi,

    Am looking to get into the boat market, have shopped around and the Stessco SF420 Catcher looks good value for money was wondering what you guys thought of them.

    Was wanting something around the 4m mark with full floor and casting deck was looking to spend up too $9000 ish give or take, would appreciate any suggestions.

    Comes standard with 30 Suzuki 2 Str on it.

    i have a stessco skipper 410, awsome boat! i chose it over allot of others i checked out, including stacer and quintrex as the stessco was wider, had better fishing space, and has a much better layout. not to mention was heaps cheaper.

    do not get a suzuki 2 stroke!!!!!! there 4 strokes are great!!! there 2 strokes are crap!! if you want a 2 stroke then get a yammy.

    i suggest you look at polycraft if you want something with a casting deck

    I spoke to the AQIS folk at work today , and they advise me that provided the lures contain NO ANIMAL content , they will be allowed unrestricted entry back into Australia , providing you have a MANDEC ( Manufacturers Declaration ) as to the composition of the lures.

    Manufacturer’s Declaration Format Requirements

    Where an ICON case requires that a manufacturer’s declaration accompanies a consignment, this declaration must meet the following format requirements:

    1. Manufacturer’s Declarations accompanying Non-Commercial (personal) consignments must be:

    a) from the manufacturer of the product being imported; and

    B) on the manufacturer’s letterhead; and

    c) signed by an appropriate company employee whose name, title and contact details also appear; and

    d) dated and free from erasures and alterations; and

    e) written in English and containing the correct statement/s as required by the relevant ICON case; and

    f) specific to the relevant product by name.

    Also , be aware that there are further restrictions on used Fresh Water articles and equipment that have been used in certain countries . ( Fiji is not on that list ) . This information can be found HERE

    not that iv ever had a tiller stear . but i wouldnt think spray would be a problem.

    i think that mod is just for extra stability in turning and while at rest

    strange! what purpose does it serve.

    it wouldnt worry me though. i have a step on one side that digs in, if you try to do doughnuts

    sorry to here that mate. if its any consolation the weather is crap and there arnt much fish about atm
