  1. That's a cracker! My favourite place on the south coast. I stayed there last year and nailed it on the breambo's. Man I want to go back!
  2. Hi Mark, I stopped in Narooma last year for a swim just on the western side of the bridge and saw a heap of whiting hanging around the sand bar there. looked like a hot spot to chuck a few small poppers or wrigglers in on the incoming tide. I was there snorkeling with the kids a keep thinking I wish I had my gear. around the back where all the marinas and jetty's are I saw some guys pumping for nippers so there's some easy bait gathering around. you should be able to get a few bream and ludrick off the board walk and around the break walls I saw heaps of bream but they didn't seem to active. I've never actually fished there so I'm only going off what I would do if I went back. have fun and good luck. P.S. if you get fish and chips go to the shop opposite the caravan park on the main road. we went there and it was awesome. the shops around the back were no good as our friends told us.
  3. hi Scratchie, cheers for the welcome and reply. I have had a search around but found most info is from a few years ago or been sent to other members via PM. was hoping for some recent info especially for where to catch some yakkers or even some squid if their in the river. cheers
  4. From my understanding is they're designed for bigger fish having a heavier advanced drag system. I use the stradic ci4 in the rivers and harbour, and find its an awesome reel.
  5. G'day raiders, I'm a long time lurker and a first time poster?. I'm heading up to Manning point with the family for 2 weeks in Jan and was hoping for a few tips on finding some live bait for jewies and a few good snags/oyster leases for bream fishing. I mainly use soft plastics and hard body's so any local techniques would be great as well.I've got a small tinnie to get around in. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a awesome holiday if your having time away. Cheers Eden.
  6. Thanks for sharing! I'm heading down to Burrill for 2 weeks after new years, this will be really helpful.
