Hey, have been keeping tropical fish for some time now and recently decided to try my hand and keeping poddy mullet alive for extended periods. I will eventually be using them for beach fishing to target that elusive jew... I've got sand, canister filter, heater, power heads that you would normally use in the tropical tank. Has anybody tried keeping these fish alive for extended periods ie weeks? Could i get away with using brackish water, or possibly even fresh water? Ive done a bit of research, which has led me to believe that they are: a) very hardy and "will live in drains", or only last a few days in a salt water set up. Any advice much appreciated.
