Gday mate me and fishraider member exhail went wide on sunday. There was a good temp break south east of browns, but we trolled a lot further out looking for a wider break which we couldn't find thanks to the previous cloudy days wreaking havoc on the SST charts. Any way we turned around and trolled back towards browns and got a double hook up of stripies so we started to cube in a 17-18 degree break. Dropped jigs and instantly hooked up on more stripies. Just on dark we hooked up a good albacore on a jig around the 10kg mark and then managed to drop another couple of albies on jigs and one on the cube. kept cubing through till about 8pm for only a couple of small blue sharks.
Not a bad day out, but these fin are becoming quite elusive this season for us, saw and caught more fin back in march when the marlin bite was firing!
cheers
Mick
