  9. Hi People! Can anyone tell me where is a good place to fish if it is no good of the beach at Cronulla? I have tried Kurnell and found it to be a waist of time. Also can anyone tell me what the fishing is like of late of the beach at Greenhills, I would like to go on the weekend however the last time I went there was way to much weed and i lost a lot of good rigs! I would hate to travel all the way there again this weekend only to find it the same again!Any help will be muchly appreciated! Regards Craig
  10. Sadly I agree, I have been a loyal labour supporter all my life, and while the libs have screwed us on the work front you kind of expect that. But anyone who tries to screw with our fishing well thats just unforgiveable and I won't stand for it. I for one will be trying to rearrange some commitments so I can attend this one, hope to see you all there!!!! . Regards Craig
  11. Good onya Sammy,I'd be there for a protest on that idiotic idea! I don't claim to know a lot about fishing or the do's and don'ts (although i am learning heaps form this sensational site) but I do know that I love fishing and enjoy the company of most of the people I meet when I do go. It's hard enough to find good spot's to fish these day's especially if you don't have a boat like me! The last thing we need is for them to take the few good spots we do have and banning us from using them.Hell if that happens I'd even consider taking up arms and starting a revolution !!! LOL Viva Le Revolution Craig

  13. Yup!!! Thanks m8, just found it, came back here to see if i could delete message!(red face) Regards Craig
  14. Can you give me a name on that braid you use Saqa? Regards Craig
  15. Aint that the truth!!!!!!!! I'm thinking of going again next weekend, the only drawback is that i travel from South Wentworthville and its devestating as we all know to travel that far and find that the fishin is shit! We need some more locals from the Nulla to do some reports on Fishraider and let us know if it is worth the trip or not! I was born and raised in the garden of eden ( otherwise known as the shire) And wish that I could afford to live there now! So come on all you Nulla locals give us some regular feed back!!!! Tight lines to you all. Regards Craig.
  16. Hi All, Well I finally made it down to Greenhills Cronulla with a couple of mates on Sat night. We got there eventually after tryin ta find a servo around Cronulla and Woolaware to fill up the gas bottle so we would have light. uppon arrival we pick a fair spot that did not involve to much of a walk as we would no doubt be a little more weary leaving than we were on arrival  After diggin in and makin a wind break (I was thinking bloody wind this will ruin the fishin) after all this we hit the water and soaked a few pilchards and some fresh squid! After about half an hour my mate caught a flattie (just legal) But after that all we could catch was bloody weed I reckon we must of dragged about 300 bloody kilos of it out of the drink. After loosing more surf popper rigs than i care to remember along with the lead that help fling em out there,we conceded defeat and relised our efforts were futile and decided to pack our little hut up and move around to Kurnell ( which proved to be a waist of time and petrol) So after spendin a small fortune on bait and burley (Which I might add,I also lost my burley container.)We headed home to have some more moisty's :beersmile:and play some fishin games on the puter. Oh well thats fishing hey? I hope we can do better next time!!!!! Regards Craig
  17. Thanks for the info guys! What about burley? Do you cube pilly's or use a burley container with pellets and oil? What seems to work the best or what is your preference? Regards Craig
  18. Cheers M8, The Salmon poppers that I have are patanosta's with three gang's and a popper as well, however im not sure weather to replace the mono with wire or leave em as they are. I have 20lb braid (Fireline) but i'd hate to loose something big because of the Salmon popper rigs ! They say that the breaking strain of fishing line is the point where the fisherman looses his or her patiance, well that screws me cause I'll need 100lb braid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Hi People, I'm heading down to Greenhills Cronulla on Sat night . I even have the ball and chains permission I have a heap of Salmon popper rigs but im not sure if they are any good for jewies as well ! Can someone give me some tips on rigs to use if the Salmon poppers are no good? I realy want an all round rig if possable as I'm not targetting anything in particular, lets face it, anything worth taking home would be tops! But it would be a real pissa if I hooked up to a big jew!!!! I think we have all dreamt of doing that at some stage or another !!!Also what are the best sinkers to use off the beach. Thanks in advance. regards Craig
  20. No prob! I'm not sure if there is sentimental value or not! I was thinking along the lines of, if they were worth a bit then maybe sell em and buy better!!!! Craig
  21. Hi, My friends Father worked at Slazenger and left in 68, When he passed away he left my m8 two Slazenger fishing rods 1) is a three peice combo (looks like a black fish rod) and 2) the other is a two peice surf rod! He wants two have them done up but wasn't sure if they were worth anything as they are over 37 yo and in very good condition, and some times you can decrease value by restoring. Can anyone help with this? Any advice you can give would be appreciated! Craig
