  1. Hi, I was at clifton gardens on Saturday 2 weeks ago from 4am - 8am, not even a nibble. About 5 of us fishing, 7 rods and no one got anything, even with berley. At 8am it was packed about 10 people with 20 rods, still nothing so i left. The best part was we saw dolphins, around 6 swimming around showing off. Made my day. Cheers,
  2. Thanks for the heads up LBG, great useful tips regarding the spot. Cheers,
  3. Hi Brettmann, Your a legend!! many thanks for the great post. I asked this question a few days ago regarding fishing spots and a few have replied with great details, you've topped it by giving plenty of your favorite fishing spots and all info needed to stay safe, including info species and rigs. Maybe admin should make this thread sticky , best thread i've seen in this forum. Thanks for all the effort, Cheers.
  4. Thank-you bennoz for sharing, one of the best descriptions i've seen. Thanks for putting in all the effort, i think many will find your info very useful. Just wondering what time is best to fish there? Bait or lure or both? Type of fish to target at this location? What is the save swell/wind/tide conditions to fish here? as you mention South/southeast winds/swells is a no go, even if swells under 1meter? Cheers,
  5. Hi all, Planning to go to a few places and wanting to see if people can give me some info/tips/places that would be better off. ocean front, aiming for salmon, kings, bonito etc I've been to juliannes, the gap and have all safety equipment (cleats + lifejacket) and going with friends. Can you recommend me a similar/better place to fish for these species. I had a look at wollongong: hill 60, bass point, windang island anyone been to these places before and would recommend it? what swells/tide/wind condition is it safe to go ocean front? from my experience if its swells are < 1m its ok, safer in low tide ofcos, and under 10knot wind is ok. But i've only been a few time so seeking some pro advice here many thanks. cheers, jacky pod86 is offline Add to pod86's Reputation Report Post Edit/Delete Message

  7. Hi all, I think its good to start fishing young so i'm planning to take my 2yr old fishing, land base as we dont have a boat. I've been fishing alot of landbase but all those spots are not suitable for a 2yr old, so my question is does anyone know a good spot suitable for kids that young? eg. wharf or parkside? i've been researching and saw clifton gardens has a playground/park and wharf but everyone says its packed with rude people and unpleasant to fish there. heard about clarkes point, but no one really catches anything there. my friend goes there with his kid but hardly any bites etc. beach fishing is not my thing as my setups are not huge and does not cast far out enough. Looking for a safe, productive, non crowded place to fish with my young son. Prefer wharf or man made structures that are not dangerous. Cheers,
