Mate i was wrapped as have been trying for a big one for awhile and at times it was discouraging. perseverence pays off with jews and throw in a bit off homework and a touch of luck and bingo. If you look at the lights in the background i am sure you could tell where it was caught. If not the hint is long. Cheers

Went fishing on Nortern beaches looking for a jew. I had some salted salmon fillets from weekend before and with a high tide at 8pm get set by about 6pm. Not much happenned at all until right on high tide at 8pm had a hugh hit and the reel screamed as line peeled off. I set the hook and let some drag off and let it do its best. It was ablistering run. After awhile i put some pressure on and turned him back towards the beach. It was difficult to get him out of the gutter in front off the beach so i just walked south with him fighting all the way. After 15mins had my biggest jew on the beach at 8kg. Mate it made my night - fanatastic.

Yeah one was 86cm and the other a few weeks later was 88cm. We are trying to crack the magic 1m lizard for a quick photo op then back in the drink!

Hi raiders, Thought I would post another flattie taken at same time. From now on i think I will just bring on boat take a quick digital shot and return to the deep. I feel guilty taling these beautiful big females. My mate got his one. In fact the "herminator" is the man.

Hi all raiders, Sorry about that last gggg post but i wasnt too sure what the hell i was doing. Anyway glad to be part of raiders and thought I would share a pic of a recent large flattie taken fro 30m in Middle Harbour. This was one of three taken this time last year. I recently dropped one at the side of the boat that was close to 1m.
