We had a good day out on the Hawkesbury , brilliant sunshine , bugger all wind , and NO RAIN! Burleyed up , and had thousands of bait fish around the boat , so we gave evrything a go , SP's , peeled prawns , pillies etc . Got a few promising nibbles early on , then it went quiet for a while. First to strike was Mrsflightmanager , a small bream , ( which I released on compassionate grounds !! )Unfortunately that was the only fish taken for the day , but thats fishing !! Have to work next Saturday ( I need the overtime to pay for the fuel ! ) Sunday , I might try BB for something !! Ross

We had similar plans ,did a bit of work on the boat in the morning , had lunch ,then off to the bay!! Things were going great until I realised I had left the bloody boat key at home So dragged our sorry tails home ! But there is always tomorrow , and short of a deluge or a hurricane , we will be there to lighten the fishstocks just a bit . Just look for the boat with the blue tarp stretched from the Bimini to the rear of the boat ! That will be me and #1Son . Hope to be in the water before 6AM . Come on over and say Hi if you see us ! Sorry about that wrasseman , I couldnt resist translating into Japlish !! I did however do a little research into lubricating reels , and the general concensus was "dont put too much oil in !" . Apparently it can do as much damage as too little oil . Perhaps a couple of drops would be sufficient ? Ross

You should also plan to take some good wet weather gear , frequently you will get a huge downpour ( about lunchtime ) , doesnt last long , but the volume of water is amazing !! Ross
