  1. With the full moon upon us a Higgo & i decided to give Blowering dam a go , its only 1 1/2 hours from home & we arrived about 6.30pm & started casting Jackles with Higgo picking up a couple of redfin. as it got dark we started trolling & we found a steep bank with plenty of fish on the sounder which only produced one dropped fish & some cursing from myself so we trolled around to the wall with Higgo picking up a cod on the way. The wind started to make life difficult at the wall so back to the sheltered steep bank & i immediately picked up 2 cod on the troll. After things started to quieten down Higgo tied on a Assassin spinnerbait & picked up a cod on his first cast needles to say i didnt waste any time copying him & tied one on resulting in a nice fish after 10 minutes. We decided to call it a night & about 12.00am when the rain came in.
  2. We camped at the Juck waters park & if you were looking at the boat ramp we caught them on the other side (SW)from there trolling towards the wall.... i try & troll at about 24ft. i also tried up behind Wade island & up the Goodradigbee arm but im sure there we more Skiers than fish
  3. i fished the Juck on sat 28th last month & trolled from 6.00am to 8.30pm for a 50cm & 58cm cod....caught on 50mm ac invaders & a smack lure....maroon seemed to be the only color that got hits or fish. All up was pretty slow going & the water clarity was average.
  4. Fresh water fishing is a different animal to salt water fishing & can be very quiet at times but catching a fish is just a bonus.......& im sure spending the weekend with the in-laws has to rate as more boring haha
  5. Yeah its an unreal dam for Yella's ....& prob the best dam iv fished at.
  6. This was also my first trip to the dam ....we arrived late on Friday 6th & set out the swags. Sat morning we hit the water about 5am & i picked up a small Yella about 40cm on my second cast using a Kokoda gold ( Jackle look alike ) & followed that by another of the same size shortly after. the water clarity was excellent & you could watch fish following you in quiet easily... about mid morning i picked up a PB Yella of 61cm & then another later that day of 53cm. the next two days were fished hard with my total being 9 Yella's landed & a few dropped fish. we got smashed by the weather on Sunday night & received something like 40mm of rain in a few hours. Monday morning i picked up my last fish before we packed up & hit the road.
  7. We headed up to Blowering Dam 4th Nov for a bit of night trolling for Yella's. after dropping a solid fish & picking up a small yella Greg got smashed on his 15lb setup & we landed this Cod....it went 110cm & was released
