  1. My panels are 1.5w each, keeps my batteries charged dont no if theres a calculation all i no batteries are 5yrs old and still like new, boat had sat there for 6months i turned key and she still turned over 100mph
  2. Iv got a solar pannel on each battery had them for last 5yrs on this boat batteries still like new there the ones you get at any camping or car part shop for around $20 each thay trickle feed the batteries which keeps the acid moving stops the plates from breaking down as obey1 said
  3. Was talking to a mate last night about the dramers we both have been having he had similar problems his was the oil injection, after a few days of the boat sitting there after being used the oil still in the line was slowly passing thru some little valve filling carbies with oil until the presure had droped he recon it was a %%%%% to start it would blow plenty of smoke when it did go then clear up and run fine for the rest of the day Maybe worth looking at Gary mix up a jerry can of fuel disconnect oil injection hook hose direct and see how she goes
  4. Shit thats no good Gary mite be time to let someone have a look at it
  5. Try the crowley marine site thay sell spare parts type in your serial number all parts for that motor will come up you can compare parts against your motor to see if its the same
  6. I dont touch the choke at all now just turn key and she starts an will sit there an idle touch wood

  9. Plugs were pritty fowled up Geoff will still get a new bulb and a mate is going to check the butterfly settings out for me let you no what we find
  10. Plugs were definatley QL16V thay were fitted by a boat mechanic at its last service thay must have been old stock he was trying to get rid of because we couldnt find them in the plug book, i did ask about the z plug the bloke at the boat shop said BUHW-2 would be fine for my motor, think ill look into the z plug a bit more before i take the boat out tho

  14. Replies a bit late but any way i have 2 little solar panels connected to the batteries there about 400mm long by 100mm wide can be bought at any camping or car part shop for around $25 each.Thay sends a trickle thru them that keeps the acid moving around the plates if thay sit to long with no charge going thru them the plates deteriate batteries are 5yrs old and still like new
