Good work mate wish it was that easy in Sydney. Well done on the new boat also. Merry Xmas

Good work mate, they work really good. U can either retrieve them in really fast which most times kingies will chance them or just let them sink and jig them a bit and make them look like an injured fish. Both methods I use and they work well. As long as u rig them up right. Good luck.

Nice work mate. Good size better than the rats of Sydney at the moment. We'll done.

Nice work mate was that of Sydney. PM me if you like. Great catch by the way. Good times.

At least you know you had a good spread out. But what a picky beaky.

Nice catch mate. Do they taste any good.

Nice work out there. Great catch of the rocks must be a good drop off.

Well done mate keep it up.

You can either lip them or through the nose for trawling. Behind the head if you are just dropping them down. Good luck

Headed out two good mates Chris and Meng On Chris's Boat to have a good day out and bag a healthy catch for all three of us, tired a few spots before we found a very productive area and on Board they came, 31 Flat head all in good time until the drift came to a complete stop.
We then decided to hit a few reefs and see what we can get, not Bad, Managed 3 pike to 50cm, good bate they are, 7 leather Jackets, 8 trevs a nice salmon, tons of Rats on lite gear, awesome catch and release fun, rock cods, sweep, tarwine and more, Great day on the water, great friends, beers and food what more can a person ask for.
Good day by the sounds of it. There are plenty of rats out there. Hopefully the big ones come through soon.

Fished the deep near Lilli Pilli early this morning, but not a lot about.
Kept 1 flattie at 58cm, did not fight much until I put the net in the water, then it was all over the place trying to avoid the net, also kept a tailor of 45cm.
Released a red gurnard and a flounder just under 30cm, also released 2 tailor just under size and 3 jewies around the 50cm mark.
No yellowtail to be caught, and only a few small reddies about.
Not worth a photo.
Not a bad morning. Good work

Nice work, looks like you had a ball. Blue fin trevs and the gt would have gone hard. Get'em on poppers?
They hit and fight like freight trains awesome fun. Poppers and stick baits

Get back out there always next time.

Gday all sorta nice day to be out, bit wet but worth it.Current down hill at about 1.3kn. Drift wasn't so good until the southerly hit then things improved. Flatties still in abundance and this at 5.3kg.....20131123_155838.jpeg
Good fish not a huge bump either for that size.

Took a mate who loves fishing but rarely has time to fish. We were lucky enough to get him into the action with a few school Jews. Lots of fun but the elusive big ones are still out there.
Not bad size. Everyone counts and good back shot. Nice one

G'day raiders,After a few conversations with a fellow raider Oziodin, I got a leave pass and decided to join him and his mate on a trip around port stephens. Been the local, I had a few ideas in mind and we headed off to fill the tank with livies. First stop cabbage tree and it didn't take long to get quite a few in the tank and the boys were well pleased with the little effort required.Next we headed off to Broughton island and with a specific target of snapper. We dropped anchor but failed to hold bottom, so back up we went and this time successful so we started a burley trail. Mixing up our baits we found peeled prawn to be the choice and I loaded my 3/8 5inch jig head with large peeled prawn and let it drift down the current. First hit, a nice little panny, second another panny. The boys were into to and managed a few different fish and dropped something that took one of their livies. Then I was calling for a change in location, and as I spoke I was feeling my line to see where the jig was and bang zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz it sliced through my finger and peeling line like no tomorrow. This was a bigger panny for sure. After a great fight with several runs and some clever netting by Oziodin it comes the beautiful specimen!image.jpgimage.jpgI then thought it might be good idea to head further out and chase some kings or trag but once we got there the current was pushing fast south and we were drifting north and even with 12oz sinkers couldn't hold bottom. We decided then on a slow troll from the islands in but didn't manage another fish!It was a beautiful morning on the water, it was great to meet yet another raider Oziodin and mate, thank you both for hospitality and you are both great blokes. I hope you enjoy your trip and hope I helped in some way to show you a few spots. Sorry I caught the big one but as I said "the fish seem to like the locals more, lol"image.jpgThe snapper went 68cm just 4kg and will go real well on the BBQ tonight! Thanks for reading!Cheers scratchie!!!
