  1. This goose dropped his boat at Roseville a few months back. I yelled out, hey mate you missed the water.
  2. Thanks for the reply boys and girls. I really appreciate it. I'll start rolling some braid on my down rigger this afternoon. Happy fishing and tight lines. Cheers Nic
  3. Just a quick question. My downrigger cable has become a bit worn and stiff. It doesn't slide smoothly down the rollers any more. I heard I can replace it with 150lb braided line. And it's better because it doesn't hum through the water. Has anybody tried this or has any other ideas. Any help would be awesome. Thanks heaps.
  4. Monster fish mate. Well done on the light gear and soft plastic's. That's what it's all about.
  5. Great to hear the kings are back mate. and well done on catching the BIG BOYS. I'm heading out to pittwater on Sunday chasing kings and I was wondering how you caught them. If you would be so kind to share. I'm thinking of using my down rigger with a FAT squid swimming of the back. Maybe around Flint & steal. Any info would be fantastic champ. Thanks
  6. Finished work early and was super pumped to get the boat in the water for a quick arvo bash. A call to a mate and we were off headed to Roseville boat ramp. It was a almighty low tide and had a tiny bit of trouble sliding the boat in the water. But after a couple of fly kicks to the bow, she soon slid of the trailer. Ÿ˜ The water looked like a swamp. Brown and ugly. But was sitting at a nice 23 and dead flat.we where humming towards the bluff and soon dropped anchor. A couple of hours later we had snagged a mixed bag of a few dozen pinkies and bream, tailor and the odd Flatty. A couple of rat kings swam threw and played havoc on my small 4kg line. Lost one on the anchor, but caught one on the run. Great day to be on the water.
  7. Threw the boat in at Roseville around 5.30pm headed for seaforth bluff for a quick bait bash. At first glance the water looked alot cleaner and was a warm 23 degrees.First cast with a pilly sitting just of the bottom landed a nice 50cm flatty. Over the next 2 hours we caught a mixed bag of bream, snapper and another 38cm flathead There was a bit of surface action but it wasn't a day for lures. All in all a good few hours on the boat and a great feed. 
