I know this might be hard to say, but jsut wondering what is the everage price to moor a boat in sydney for a year? I'm open to all areas. Hawkesburry probably the cheapest I heard or Sydney waters. Say for a 5m Cabin?? Thanks

You are so lucky! There was once this boat to be raffled off when i was younger! I would go everyday and place a ticket - I never won it Really had my hopes up!! What kind of boat is it? COngrats on the boat! If you go to Spencer which isnt too far by boat from Wisemands ferry, it's pretty good! You get a fair bit of bream around there There are other species too like Flatties!

Hey guys, Just a bit bored at work. So thought I'll start a new topic! I started fishing when i was around 12. Don't really know why as no one in my family is into it. I think it all started when I use to walk around ***** and see all the rods around. I bought one of those $14 rod and reel packages! I had no idea about fishing, i started off in parramatta river hahaha! Never caught a thing as i didnt even had bait on my hook! Eventually start collecting the fishing encyclopedia and my knowledge grew and the day i caught my first 20cm bream in lake Cathie I was over the moon!!

There are always some yellow tails and slimeys hanging around Lion island. I always catch a dozen of them. Use the bait jig like mentioned before. I just grab the ones from *****, they work really good or a small hook witha small sinker and drop it about 5 meters down with a pinch of pilchard on the hook and wollah! Why did <**** > come out in asterisks?

Tried getting some mullet on the weekend. We managed to get 3 I just read the feather trick below, and lucky me where I go there are ducks around, just means I have to catch one haha! But just wondering what other methods work? I used the jig with bread to catch them firstly. The other two were caught by setting up my own little bait trap, was just a prawn net with a string attached to it haha. It worked a couple of times. Do those bait traps work? The live bait worked great, out of those two casts we scored to good flathead. So I just want to catch them more consistantly. Thanks guys

Ok, so what are the winds you want to avoid in that area? NE and Southerly? Is it me, or is lately we havn't had 5 knot winds in ages!!!! I'll give it a miss then, I'll just go around the bays!

Been in my little 4.5 meter ALuminium on the water while its been choppy and don't really enjoy it too much. I see other boats just smashing it through the waves. In general are fibreglass better?

Was looking at the weather reports, doen't look that good for tomorrow does it? With those conditions will it be failry choppy?
