Mate I have fished there a few times and while its a good spot , it has taking many lives. While there is a large rock platform to fish from it is a well opened area that always gets smashed for large waves coming thru. Not meaning to be rude but do yourself a favor and only fish this spot during the day !

Yeahs the not to be rude but if you hook a blue it will spool you. Tld 50 is ok to start a mate got a 150 kg black a yr back on his tld and it done the job. The way I see it is when you finally hook up the last thing you want is the fish to smoke you on it's first run, so it's better to spend a little more and upgrade those 25s to 50s . Don't have to run 24, I'd run a 15 as shot gun and you will get better chance for a hook up in my opinion . Cheers Evan

That's a slob right there congrats did you get a short length or est weight. It's hard to tell but I'd say a easy 80?. Great fish there a still plenty around if you know where to find them!

Hey seazar, im with you , we throw 2-3 at a time waiting for them to be just out of sight then continue.e sometimes start hard if we have marked good fish to try and fire them up. In my opinion you go too hard you will just feed them, I think its best to raise the fish once there up its happy days?? im no expect just how I fish as for ow much you use we carry atleast 20kg of pilles, any stripies are cut for fresh bait, Our first trip to Ulladulla a few weeks back saw the stripie cubes make all the difference. when they are thick don't think it matters what goes in. A mates mrs scored a 70kg fish on a arrow squid yesterday. pending aus record on 15kg. another boat scored a 58kg on 10 for another pending aus record. UGFC, has really set the bar for us all.

It's not un common for the longliners to fish there but super trawler I doubt very much. As for the price of the fish that's pretty normal. Supply and demand...... There is that much bluefin about the price drops like a brides knickers on the wedding night! I wouldn't be too concerned most of what you hear is Chinese whispers, most boats wouldn't reach the waters 200 km off shore
