  1. Awesome. Thanks guys. I've been fishing alot at Dawes Point. And just to clarify. Sinker? float? what's the best rod set up?
  2. Hi All, I'm planning on targeting the mighty Jewfish in sydney (close to the CBD). Not sure if it's possible but I really want to go on a couple week nights for a few hours after work. Can you please recommend a good location not too far from the city, bait and any other details or tips that you have. I'll be happy if I catch anything to be honest but my target is the Jew. I love fishing but I'm not very pro yet, so any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers. Kind Regards, Fresh

    Pyrmont?

Hi All, I recently just moved to Pyrmont (about 5 mins walk from the Fish Market) and I wanted to know if there are any good fishing spots near me? Let me know. Thanks in advance. Kind Regards, Chris
  4. Well that can't be good.
  5. Thanks guys. I hit Yarra Bay last night for a couple of hours, I was using Pilchards and pretty much everything you just said except i think i have an 8 pound mono line. I only had 1 decent bite all night and i lost the fish. I got hooked onto the rocks more than anything and ended up having to cut my line and leaving (it was getting late anyway). Is there anything similar to Yarra bay that i should be looking for? or maybe give Yarra Bay another go but do something differently? There were a couple of other guys there as well and they hadn't got anything either. Chris
  6. Thanks luderick - angler but are any of those locations calm and or safe?

  8. Oh and I don't care what type of fish I get I just want to catch something. If there's a certain type of fish that you think I should be targeting then please let me know (oh and tell me how). Thanks. Chris
  9. Hi all, I'm fairly new to all this fishing stuff. I've always gone as a kid but never really took it seriously. I've bought a few basic bits and pieces and I don't think any of my gear is suitable for rock fishing or beach fishing. Can you please recommend a good fishing spot near Kingsford that's safe, has some light at night (if possible) and is still on the shore? I'm not sure if that's possible but I want to start somewhere and I'm very new to the area so any help is greatly appreciated. If the above ISN'T possible can you maybe give me a few hints and tips to go rock/beach fishing safely without setting me back to many $$? Thanks guys. Cheers, Chris
