i put a pod on my current rebuild though no swim platform, took me a while
getting all the info because its not a common boat and as such measurements
etc were not readily available.
what i found is that you will need patience building it and that when
you make the mold up for it
1: make sure you give it at least 5 coats of wax so it pops out
2: use good plasticine to round of your edges not the cheap toyworld crap
3: use double bias on all the edges before laying the matt
i dont know how many layers of matt i used but when done it finished at 15mm on the
sides and about 20mm in all corners with a weight of 32kg giving me a positive
buoyancy of 178kg. I installed 3 stringers on the inside of it to match up with
the stringers on the inside of the boat and it was mounted to the transom
with 12 x 12mm x 100mm bolts all from inside the pod because it is a full depth unit.
This was all inspected and given thumbs up by a marine surveyor i got out to inspect
all the work because it is a full rebuild IE removal of splash well new transom
stringers - floor and modifications to the top side .I wanted it checked etc so
i could get new paper work for max motor size - weight and a new build plate
for insurance purposes.
My pod and transom have been rated at max 125Hp and 178kg
