    Gulp

ive been using the gulp 2"shrimp for a fair bit of my bream fishing lately, they seem to be stronger than the 3"minnows, i caught over 20 pike on the same shrimp before i got bitten off by something bigger and it was still fine before that. oh and the bream seem to have a fondness for them as well
  8. the caravan park at greenmans valley is nice and quiet be a great spot to have a quiet weekend away, easy to get to and as its off the main road a fair bit there is no traffic noise at all
  9. the tld is a nasty reel to cast as when its in freespool it disengages so to speak and has no brakes just keeps on spinning! i had a 100metre birds nest once lol. on a long rod off the rocks though can cast them easy 20 30 metres with a bit of practice, can allways cast with the clicker on as well to provide a bit of resistance
  10. check out the nswptf comps, http://www.nswptf.com they dont have a age limit and they run bream bass and flathead comps around nsw

    Leader Size

it doesnt matter at all mate, people regularly use smaller leaders use blackfishing as an example, and in clear water i regularly downsize my leaders to stop fish spooking so easy.
  12. ill be heading out in lake macquarie for saturday morning trying to spin up a few nice breams, brother got a nice one last week 1.78kg 44cm to the fork, will be trying to better his efforts
  13. wouldnt doubt a small cobe getting caught anywhere, i got a small one about 75 cm last year in lake macquarie and a few samll ones have shown up in newcastle harbour before to so anythings possible!
  14. pick up boat with new 40 etec on saturday and hopefully fish on sunday in lake macquarie for some bream
