  4. Sorry Boppa, I never owned one till Sunday, always borrowed from friends or work. This one was such a good deal, the Mrs let me buy it, but unfortunately, I will now have to wait quite some time b4 she lets me buy any new fishing gear Narra
  5. Jo, I bought a 64 mg stick worth $75 for $50 and a $25 pouch for $15, so overall not as good a price for what you got it for, but still a good deal, regards Ken
  6. They do, and I did Jocool, youre the real deal! Not even the sales guy believed me when I said someone I know got it for $250 until he looked it up on his computer, well, he said I could only have it for $280, but hey thats less than half the original price of $599, best price camera around, I've been playing with it all day, cant wait to take some fishing photos with it now, heaps of functions and works great! Narra
  7. Hey Jo, I just called Warringah Mall Bing Lee and they have them as well and will do a deal, just about to go down and sus it out, if I get the same deal will let everyone know. cheers Narra

  10. Thanks guys, great time of the day, luckily I borrowed that camera from work that day, gotta get myself a camera soon. Howard, I was thinking of putting that one up as a desktop, but then wouldnt get any work done thinking about fishing all the time. Getting on the Raider forum is already taking up more time every day! But I cant help it, probably like alot of you guys. Andrew, there is plenty of power boats in the lake, not big ones though, water varies between 0.5 metres to about 4 metres, I checked it out on my sounder. You can launch at 3 spots that i know of, there might be more. You can launch at the Middle Creek side of Wakehurst, where all the sailboarders go, but it only a sand ramp if you can call it that and is pretty shallow, or at the channel at the Caravan Pk side of the lake, there is a concrete ramp at the car park, quite narrow but decent, hard to see from the road, and lastly where I always go, the 2nd shot where my tinny is in the foreground is the Jamieson park side of the lake (Pittwater Road side), there is a concrete ramp there that is ok. that side gets shallow though, and it is hard to get to the Woolies bridge side of the lake from there at low tide if you have a tinny with a bit of depth. cheers Ken
  11. Here's a pic taken today, Jocool has some awesome ones as well of the same sunrise, different spot. cheers Narra

  15. Thanks Ray, I''ll give him a call and weigh up my options, thanks for the contact, cheers Ken
  16. Thanks heaps Boppa, that would be great. Iv''e picked up a 2nd hand 5 hp yammy because I couldnt bear the thought of not going out, but thanks for the offer for lending yours to me. But would like to get this motor fixed, if your mate can do it, I''d be indebted. I''ll wait to hear from you. cheers Ken
  17. Thanks for all the advice guys, sounds like the message is to keep it and get it fixed or sell it privately. Anyone know a good mechanic who would fix it for me? Boppa, the quote came from North Harbour Marine down at North Manly near the Golf Course. That is a good idea putting it on Ebay Swoffa, but do you reckon because it was smoking and probably something is burnt out that peopled would be a bit hesitant in buying it? Iv''e got no idea about mechanics. If anyone could put me onto someone who could fix it cheaper I''d appreciate it, cheers Narra
  18. Just after some advice on what to do. Burnt out my 1995 Johnson 5 hp a few weeks ago, motored slowed, smoke coming out, then stopped the motor. Took it to the shop to get it fixed and they said between $800 - $1000 to put in new pistons and get it going. Also said it would be like a new one after its reconditioning. DOnt know what to do? they said they would buy it if I didnt want to keep it, for $150. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I hope he is not offering $150 when it is worth much more, should I just sell it to them? I know its only a small motor, but it use to go so well, and since blowing it I purchased a 2nd hand Yammy. What to do???????????? Help!!!! cheers Ken
  19. Here we go again, hope it works! Here is my one and only salmon on fly, and I''m hanging out to have a go at them again! half an hour to bring it in on a Struddy 6/7 wt, tied my own yellow and white clouser. If anyone needs company when going for salmon, let me know. Narra PS sorry for those who have read this on the old forum
  20. That is a beast! Would love to get one that big on the fly rod! Narra
