Thank you very much to both of you. Now I can fish in peace! BTW - I always wash my tackle down after every use, but I don't lubricate. Is that important to do every time? Do you need to break the reels down to lubricate? Cheers

Hi guys I've been reading these forums for a while now, but have never posted before. What a great place for information! I have a question that I'm hoping the gurus here might be able to answer, because I can't find an answer online elsewhere. I bought a nice little spinning outfit about 6-7 years ago - specifically for trout. But I've now moved from Canberra to the mid north coast and want to fish the estuaries. The reel is a Shimano Nexave 2500FA. Can anyone tell me whether this reel is OK for saltwater use. Or will I bugger it? with thanks
