Used strips even heads last monday. Just a lot of pickers so we moved on. Going again in next couple of days. I still have a few heads left the rest is in my belly!

Hit the spit area about 3am caught 8 squid in an hour half. Went for a kip and got up about 6am to put out the squid for those kings. Only pickers slowly dwindling my supply. Where are those kings some people have been saying. When I got squid no KINGS!! Even trying some down rigging. Still yet to score on that one!

where is best to place downrigger on my boat. Is it best off the back or side?

What sort of rod and reel combo should i buy for some offshore jigging from sydney reefs? Birthday coming up and would like some info on what you suggest. Havent got a billlion dollars to spend. But would be reasonable. i have an overhead pfluger and an okuma eb80 baitruner reels at the moment. would they do the job. One loaded with about 30lb mono and the other 50lb braid. thanks

message me. im interested in geitting involved in some jigging. ive got a 5.6m fiberglass boat with 115hp on the back. not much jiging gear, but looking to try it out and know where is good.

Looking to get out for my first trip from the sydney heads to a couple of reefs. Need some confidence here and a couple of tips or others wanting to join in another boat. Probably going out next tuesday. What areas out of sydney harbour firing that amature could tackle first up??

wasnt a dark colour and im mixing the oil 1:50. Not sure if i lifted the warm up lever would have got rid of smoke. didnt want to make to much noise at night. Used the motor twice in last few days. didnt notice that much smoke last time i flushed it

just got a 1999 yamaha 115hp. Runs well, noticed though when i was flushing it at home was very smokey when iwas flushing motor at idle. any reasons?? problems?

sounds easy man, will have to see you out there, im a teacher and i cant wait for holidays. Those quiet days on the harbour- just me and the fish. only way ive got kings at spit is anchoring just past the bridge after being out all night under bridge catching squid. then sit wait as the morning rises till kings come past

going to The entrance this weekend , any tips on areas off beach? preferably jews? bait areas for yellow tail or squid?

thanks for the squidding tips, just pissed that the days you get heaps of squid there no kings around and vica versa. think ill spend more time on squidding, doesnt help when you take people who are new to the game of mr squid. dont have a downrigger, but tried this contraption called a paravane. seems to work well. Only been tried on yellow tail as bait but stayed alive and deep for hours. do you have any preference of mooring area in spit?

went out to middle harbour sunday got nothing man!!! squid for about an hour for nothing. got some nice yeloow tail and trolled them around the moorings , nothing! was catching squid easily last couple of weeks last two trips zip! whats goin on what am i doin wrong here!
