    Anchor winch

Gooday, have a 7 metre aluminium with a Muir 500, reliable, strong, have 20 metres chain, spliced onto 12mm white rope, works well, tip,how it comes onto the boat via the bow roller, make sure it wont jump over the lip of the roller, had to reduce the size of our roller to stop this, it doesnt have a "free fall" but works pretty quick, another tip, they don't recommend you have it direct from the winch for an over night, make sure you put a tie off to reduce the load on the winch, cheers joe
  2. Gooday, mine is a 225 4 stroke yamaha, 2002 model, it has 4,600 hours it was a dive boat in it's previous life, motor runs very sweet, only drama i have is a small leaking ram seal and a leaking main bearing seal, again very small, always flush your motor with the cowling removed and look to see that there is nothing odd or "unusual noise", check your gearbox and ram fluid regularly, you don't have to worry about engine oil levels, cheers joe
  3. Yea gooday, i have a 7metre plate aluminium boat with a 225 4stroke yamaha, i bought mine less then a year ago through a dealer in sydney, cost $23,500 with 2 years warranty on all it is a custom built so they are atround and in my opinion i got a good deal, has electric ancjor winch, marine radio, colour humminbird fishfinder, great lights for night work, but biggest plus of all is aluminium top with safety glass windsrcreen, does 34knots!!! took me almost 2 yearas to find this one so keep looking, i found this on ebay so the prior advise is spot on, look for the auctions, hope you find one, cheers joe
