Your better off spending the extra to get a longer one and one with the rudder stearing makes fighting larger fish like kings easier

Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
well i was out on the hobie on sunday water temp is about 17 so its not bad plenty of Flathead about .
as far as a venue im open to suggestions we would need to keep some things in mind when picking venues ie parking (no on wants to pay for parking), the size of some peoples kayaks are not safe in open water ( safety first).
Anyone keen to make a Raiders kayak Day out ?
If an admin would like to Make it official that would be fantastic i'm sure a lot would be keen
Please pm me if you have some venues in mind
Possible Venues
Port Hacking
Windang Botany
Bay Hawkesbury
Sydney Harbour
Krispy is 100% right there the fish can be real picky even the squid pealed hawksbury prawns with a squirt of ultrabite works really well tackle wise use a size 6 hook on a 6lb -10 trace if you need to add weight add a split shot to your main line , also fish the right side of the there is a nice hole there that produces some nice bream and trevors fishing the end of the wharf is usually where you will find the people that are there for the Jew's and kings with the big rods and live bait .if you you go there in summer it can produce some really good fish but can also get very crowded
you should swap out the sand anchor for a small grapple anchor there about $25 from BCF and i found that the 4mm braided line from bunnings works a treat for an anchor line
heading out from apple tree Thursday night for an all nighter chasing some hairy's any other boats heading out , and anyone got any reports that can be of some use
I was up there on saturday Arvo fished all afternoon evening and up till about 10am sunday for 3 flathead to the 45 mark undersize tailor , a 30cm snapper and a stupid green eel , have to say hawkesbury seemed very quite on the weekend
