hi fishraiders, long time reader first time report poster here..
Hit the botany port boat ramp at 2pm and darted out just wide of the shipping lane near moullineax point.
We drifted across the bay 4 or 5 times ending up with 3 flatties one trevor , an octopus ( are they edible?) and the horde of undersized pinkies demolished most of our bait . The water was very smooth, with a little bit of wind picking up around 5pm.
two of the darker coloured flatties were caught in 25 metres, the other was caught further south in 8 metres of water.
Bait used was just peeled prawns and a piece of chicken breast cut into strips.
heres a picture of the catch, Trevor = 34cm , flatties = 44 , 43 , 41 cm .
it wasnt the best of weather, but which locations do you generally catch bream at?
