I've heard of wedding cakes is that the markers in the middle of the harbour.would this be accessible by kayak and where could i launch from

any areas or spots to try as i ineed a place to start out

So i have recently bought a kayak to hopefully help me catch me more fish. i have also started targeting kingfish. I think I'm doing most things right by catching fresh squid and fishing lighter line (30 pd mono and 40pd fluro leader) that will hopefully result in more bites. However despite of this i don't know what sought of areas to look for and to fish. I'm looking for if anyone can give me any rough areas (not expecting you to give me spot x) would be greatly appreciated.

going down to narooma for five days on a fishing trip and in need of help and advice for the area. We have already booked a charter out to Montague island for kings and reef fishing. i was also planning to do some beach fishing and bay and estuary fishing as well though. Can people who have experience with the area point me in the right way off land based areas to fish dont mind travelling as long as its under 1 hour.

I have an 8000 sized sure catch stallion reel and a 12 beach rod which i was given but i believe it is costumed made and very strong. I don't know the weight strength of it as i was given it by an old fishos. i have loaded this up with 30 pound mono. Anyway I'm just starting to get into jewfishing and need a rig that i can use for yakkas and possibly squid off wharfes in sydney harbour. Any possible advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

planning a fishing trip to the south coast but have not yet decided on the location. I will likely hire a charter but also do some beach or even river fishing. I have heard bermagui is a really good spot for this sort of thing. I am interest in catching kingfish and other pelagics. Any advice of some good charters in this area would be appreciated. Also is this the right place or are there better places like batman's bay and jervis bay.

just wondering what are some good trolling lures for trolling around sydney and in particular off balmoral. i Have been using 2 lures with the all the success going to white ghost ( these are supposed to represent white bait. I need a couple of other lures that i should use as my backups. Any advice will be appreciated.

by the way i caught about 8 fish all together. Lots of little snapper, a legal snapper, and a monster bream. Also got a tailor on the trawl on the way back to the boat ramp. Hooked a massive fish on the trawl that sent the reel scream somehow it got off. All in All a good trip.

Planning a fishing trip to middle harbour as mentioned previously in a previous post. Wanting to use a variety of baits and one of them is off course going to fresh or live squid. Ive never caught them in middle harbour or even attempted to so any rough areas would be helpful. I head you can catch near balmoral and I've seen them caught off rocky point which is in the middle of balmoral beach (Has anyone had success here). Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated.

Planning a fishing trip on our 3.5 metre tinny with an 15 horsepower engine. Planning to launch at Tunks park and work ourselves around middle harbour and maybe up to balmoral. Wondering if there was any advice on a broad area's of good spots (not expecting to you to give me your best spots). I remember going there and seeing numerous boats anchored around a supposedly sunk boat. If anyone knows where this is it would greatly appreciated. Any advice on bait and bair gathering grounds would be appreciated . And also types of rigs and what sort of fish i should intend to target. Any advice that would help in our success would be appreciated

Remember next time you go fishing if you catch catch a carp as a by catch , never release them.

Bought myself a sure catch stallion 8000. It is a very big and strong reel which i will be using for bigger species. Mainly going to be used from a kayak or tinny. Wondering what rod to use it with. Looking at the Shimano Terez. Any other suggestions on any other suitable brands and rod strengths would be extremely helpful.

SMn yeah they do look good never seen them before do you know how much they cost and what size i should be looking at
