I was kayaking yesterday at Bass Point with my mate, he was spearfishing. We saw large flocks of birds sitting on the water, we headed towards them. Surprisingly my mate spotted Salmon and Bonitos under the birds. He managed to spear one Bonito. Yes, a bonito in winter. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk HD

Just recently bought a kayak. Newbie. Would like an experienced kayak to show me how & where to fish from a kayak on the lake. Will be launching my kayak at Lake Illawarra this Saturday. Hopefully to target bream & luderick. I think I still have some weed & cooked prawns in the fridge for bait.

Caught half a dozen 32+cm Trevallys off Woonona rocks the other day. Biggest was 40cm. Also tried the beach for Salmon and Tailor but not a bite. There were two guys off the rocks reeling in Blackfish one after the other. Not sure what they used for bait though I saw plenty being pulled up.
