hellow to everybody Might be buying a new Shimano Charter Special 2000, wanted to know if anyone knows what they are like as a light bottom bashing Reel. It will be fitted to a Penn Powerstick OH 8-10Kg and with have 10Kg braid spooled on it Any help is appreciated

Snagged this one on a live yakka off the Sunshine Coast on Sunshine Reef. Dad nearly cut it off because we did the usual and mistook it for a shark. One of the best feed of fish Ive had.

hey to all, Recently I invested in an Ian Miller Shimano T-Curve Deep Jig 24Kg rod, fitted to a Shimano Tourium and spooled with 50pd Playtupus Super Braid. This outfit is rated to jigs of 150 - 250g. With this I also bought a couple of Chaos 180g knife jigs. I havnt yet tried jigging so I am wondering which metod(seeing as though there are soo many) you guys recommend for attching the jig to the leader. I have seen and heard about many different ways with split rings and rings e.t.c.... , but i am yet to know where and how to attach it. Also I am also not sure and what brand and stlye of Jig Hook Setup to use plus I am also wondering what brand of jigs to buy. Any help is appreciated, thanks cya.

yeh ive been looking at getting one myself until i read a few of your replys. Miight have to wait for a more flexible one top come onto the scene cya, happy fishing

hey fellas just wondering if anyone had some knowledge of where some consistent live bait grounds are off the Sunshine Copast. Once in a blue moon we find some but the yakkas and slimies are mixed in with alot of other unwanted reefies. When we do get some livies down into our spots we come up trumps, so it would be great to have a good supply of them. Any help is appreciated

hey guys, just wondering if any one would be able to offer me some advice on jigging. I recently got myself a new heavy jigging outfit. Having no prior experience, i need some help with jigging techniques, knots, connections, good jigs to use, ect.. any help is appreaciated
