  1. Headed out to Georges River in the morning to fish the last of the run in tide and high tide. It felt as though high tide lasted only about 30minutes before going out again. Landbased from Picnic Point for a few hours for zilch and then further up towards East Hills for the same result. All in all, seems like it was very dead with quite a few fishos out there in the time I was and from what I saw, no one seemed to hook up anything.

  2. Happy New Year to all the raiders out there as well as their families. I hope 2010 brings you good health and lots of success whether it be on or off the water :1fishing1:

  3. It hasn't been that long since we last went for a fish has it?

That's an awesome result for a couple days work in the wet =) Keep it up. Seems like you're learning more and more, and the results are just getting better. I bet some of those catches would've been a nice surprise for ya, something different to the usual bream/whiting.

Blackie season soon enough though ;)

  4. Team Hodgey - Double Trouble. Nice to see another fisho getting into lure fishing, and with someone of your calibre teaching your old man the tricks of the trade and exposing him to such quality fish, it's no surprise that an addiction is an understatement. It's a shame you forgot the cam but from the report, it looks like it was definately a time that will be remembered by all of you. Nice goin'

  5. You're teasing me Ray. Before I go back to work I must fix my gear and we're targetting illawong one morning. Would you be up for this Saturday?

When you produce bream like that I just wish I was there. Healthy looking and of a nice size. Congrats.

  6. Lovin' the pics mate :D More more more :D :D :1fishing1:

"Check out the high tec fishing rods used for ice fishing."

I'm sure many people down here would be thinking "are you for real?!" .. "you won't get any fish like that".

It's a bit wow to me as well. The scenary looks beautiful, the fish, fishing, community, it would all just be a bonus I think. :D

  7. is that lilly pilly wharf? we have caught those shovel nose sharks there before off the sand bank

Sure looks like it to me. I haven't been down there in ages so could be wrong though.

Smaller than the usual shovelnose from what I can see but that's definately it, no doubt about it.
