  1. Nice work on the blackfish I say =) Looks like an excellent catch.
  2. Records all around by the look of it. Nice work on such an awesome catch fellas =D
  3. I can certainly agree that the tides were as described. I was fishing in the evening with the low tide and it was most certainly shallow down that way, although not exactly that bad where I was fishing just a little further up.
  4. That's an awesome result mate. A good sized catch for the holiday season
  5. Headed out to Georges River in the morning to fish the last of the run in tide and high tide. It felt as though high tide lasted only about 30minutes before going out again. Landbased from Picnic Point for a few hours for zilch and then further up towards East Hills for the same result. All in all, seems like it was very dead with quite a few fishos out there in the time I was and from what I saw, no one seemed to hook up anything.
  6. That's a healthy lookin mud crab. Good stuff mate. I love the story that goes with it as well. Definitely pays off to stick with it and take caution

    New Years

Happy New Year to all the raiders out there as well as their families. I hope 2010 brings you good health and lots of success whether it be on or off the water
  8. It hasn't been that long since we last went for a fish has it? That's an awesome result for a couple days work in the wet =) Keep it up. Seems like you're learning more and more, and the results are just getting better. I bet some of those catches would've been a nice surprise for ya, something different to the usual bream/whiting. Blackie season soon enough though
  9. That's some awesome stuff Cam. There must be some sort of ripple effect maybe that the frogs produce which draws in the bass. Definately something to play around with more often now it seems.
  10. Team Hodgey - Double Trouble. Nice to see another fisho getting into lure fishing, and with someone of your calibre teaching your old man the tricks of the trade and exposing him to such quality fish, it's no surprise that an addiction is an understatement. It's a shame you forgot the cam but from the report, it looks like it was definately a time that will be remembered by all of you. Nice goin'
  11. Top stuff mate Very nice jew and I can just imagine the excitement you wouldve been feeling when you hooked him up.
  12. Always a pleasure to see the little guys reeling in quality fish. Nice work
  13. May I ask where abouts this was? It might give other Raiders an indication of where they may be lurking about.
  14. Thats a lovely catch to go around, and the Sweep look like they'll make a nice meal definately. Good on ya for not being too greedy with the sweep and thinking enough is enough. Definately a fine day in anyone's books I'd say.
  15. Ah Byron, 'bout time you get your stripes. Well earned. Congrats mate.
  16. You're teasing me Ray. Before I go back to work I must fix my gear and we're targetting illawong one morning. Would you be up for this Saturday? When you produce bream like that I just wish I was there. Healthy looking and of a nice size. Congrats.
  17. That number blows me away. Most of those posts are in offering advice to other members too. Congrats Byron.
  18. Looking at the pics, they're taken at Liverpool near the bridge - Newbridge Rd. There's a weir there. There is meant to be bass up the georges from the weir upstream, with a few downstream that make it into the lakes.
  19. I picked one up from the georges the other day. Nice lookin' fish. Quite small though, not worth keeping in my opinion unless its for an aquarium.

    Pb Bass

Thats a ripper of a bass. 45cm!!! It'll be a hard PB to beat thats for sure, and definately a nice achievement no doubt
  21. Lovin' the pics mate More more more :D "Check out the high tec fishing rods used for ice fishing." I'm sure many people down here would be thinking "are you for real?!" .. "you won't get any fish like that". It's a bit wow to me as well. The scenary looks beautiful, the fish, fishing, community, it would all just be a bonus I think.

    Shark Pic

Sure looks like it to me. I haven't been down there in ages so could be wrong though. Smaller than the usual shovelnose from what I can see but that's definately it, no doubt about it.
  23. Pretty sweet session and that seat looks like it'll work pretty well indeed. Beautiful day/morning to be out on the water and even with the littlies it would've been some enjoyment no doubt. Bit of action is always fun.
