Congrats with the e-heath certified!

Hmmm. My window looks exactly as yours does (your post above) with purple 'forums' and 'past week' ticked and highlighted on the left. But where the FORUMS should be on the right with 'Page 1' highlighted in green, I only have the words "Sorry, no new content found". ie your comment, "hit view new content and that will bring up any posts" does not work at all - and this has only recently started happening with no changes from me. Sorry to be a pain. Maybe it needs to be referred to the webmaster.

No, still not working. Very peculiar
-
Think I might have corrected it. Time will tell. Though don't know why it suddenly stopped working in the first place. (Life can be like that) :-)
-
Holls hit new content and then reset your settings - there is a box on the left that you need to tick the time frames etc
Boy, I thought I was pc literate... I'm not sure what you mean mrssword. Why do I need to hit 'view new content' BEFORE resetting my settings? (I just get the error msg, which has only recently started happening). In 'My settings' there does not appear to be a box on the left to tick. Sorry to be difficult.

Over the last few days every time i click on view new content it comes up as no new threads? Its never done this before.
Yep, same here. I get the error message, "Sorry, no new content". This has only recently started happening. And I find "Follow this topic" doesn't seem to work either (??)

That's interesting I guess any fish that smells or has strong taste normally can be used as a good bait.
Hoping to try Botany Bay tomorrow early before the rain moves in the afternoon
Good luck , look forward to the reports
Yes, couta make good bait. But in Victoria they were once caught by the ton by professional fisherman and sold at markets for the table. Now they are virtually fished out. In Victoria, they actually make good eating but its gone right out of fashion - which may help to replenish the numbers.

When I used to set crab pots in the Georges River, I tied(well lightly pinned actually) condoms about a metre or two down the rope. Its actually quite funny when you see how fast people let the rope go when they get to that point. I used to be a civil engineer mate, and I wish my course had more hands on topics like coming up with something innovative. I would fill out your survey if your academics would not find it too offensive that I used to tie on frangers as my anti-theft device. Let me know if you require me to complete your survey
I think you've been fishing too long! There are better purposes for those things.

Yep, not bad swordfisherman. That's as closer a match as I've seen. Will check more carefully when I return.

Thanks Blackfish, but I don't think so. Better go back and catch a couple I think. Trouble is, back in Victoria right now. Can't wait until we finally take up permanent residence at Ulladulla. I'll be on a steep learning curve then. Know a fair bit about Victorian fishing but so much great new stuff going on up the NSW south coast. (Well it's 'up' for me)

Thanks Mr Squidy but I think these are thinner, deeper bodied fish and just play around the pylons. They look like they'd be easy to catch on a tinsel bait fish rig.
-
Around the wharf at Ulladulla there are shoals of small striped fish that look a bit like yakkas with vertical stripes (bit deeper in the body). What are they and are they ok to catch as live bait?

Great reports, what a great social event and congrats to all who organised it. And I agree with Scratchie, this is the best fishing website in the world.

I think its brilliant that you can spend time with your kids like that! Worth gold.
-
No probs. I just thought I read something about it going up monday and thought I'd missed it! Hope everyone had a great weekend. :-)
-
Can't seem to find the results of the comp. ??
-
WOW! Beautiful boat ^^^ Wish I could be there.
-
Best of luck to everyone! Hope you have a great weekend. Look forward to the catch reports and winner results! Rob

I don't think fish are like people - they don't do the same thing, day in, day out. I once casually dropped a line in at a country lake and bang, hooked a big redfin. For the next couple of hours they just kept jumping onto the hook - catch, release, catch, release. Took my mate back there the following Saturday and didn't get a bite all day???

Same here yowie. Many years ago i used to snorkel at Howard Springs observing freshwater crays, Archer fish, small barras etc.
-
Perseverance! A good fisherman hangs in there - well done!
-
Thanks Neil and all the rest. Once I get on the water, I'll be pleased to report back!

SummerAutumnXXSpringumm... I keep crossing out my notes Maybe I should just get out there and fish. -
With a lot of line out, you've got the drag added to the fish's pull which can exceed your breaking strain.
Why has the new content stopped working?

No it's not that. Could be that we are using Google Chrome as web browser, rather than Explorer.
