  2. Hi everyone, We decided to go for a beach fish today to one of the beaches at the central coast. We arrived at the beach at around 4.00pm. Things were a bit quiet until night fall. It was now dark and I cast out a full pilchard and I didn’t even have enough time to place the rod in the rod holder when I felt a solid bite and hooked up to my first jewfish. There was not a lot of action after this so we packed up and headed home.
  3. Hi Jason, the boats going good. Im about to buy a 8hp motor for it and thinking of taking it out in the next couple of weeks to Brookyln.
  4. Yer they fight alot and its always good to see them jump out of the water in pursuit to spit the hook out.
  5. Hi everyone, Decided to go for a beach session today at Budgewoi beach. We arrived at the beach at 3.00pm and not long after had our baits in the water. My dad was the first to hook up and he caught a stingray which was released straight away. Things were dead until my dad hooked up a 33cm bream which was caught on a salmon fillet. Not long after i was hooked up to a nice Australian salmon which was also caught on a salmon fillet. We left at about 5.00 and all in all it was a good little session.
  6. Thanks to Jason i am the proud owner of his tinny which he genersouly gave to me as a gift. He was very helpful when we arrived to pick it up and he gave me some helpful tips about boating in general. Thanks again
  7. Hi raiders On the weekend I decided to fish a creek near Cowra for some carp. A friend and I arrived at the first spot at 7.30am. The creek was not running and only had some deep holes left. We were using un-weighted worms and on my first cast produced a carp. Then my friend caught another one soon after and we ended up with 5 carp in quick succession. We decided to move spots and this is when it really came interesting. We soon caught another 5 carp all on worms. I cast out a bunch of un weighted worms and placed the rod in the rod holder. I sat back and noticed that the line began to move. I hooked up and began fighting the fish thinking it was another carp. But to my surprise it was my first yellowbelly. Soon after my friend was on and he also landed a nice golden perch. All up we ended up with 10 carp the biggest being 65cm and 3 perch. All the carp were killed and all the perch were released after a few photos.
