Thanks for the offer. I'm a bit of a lone wolf when it comes to fishing. I like to experiment a lot and go at a moments notice etc. it's also the gear organisation- everything is where I like it and another person always brings something onto my little boat and it sets my OCD off ?
?? understandable

Arrrgh!! That's got to hurt. Reminds me of the father in law, he hooked what we thought was a PJ shark and we got it to the surface and it was a monster flathead. Before I could net it he let the line go slack and it casually swam off in front of us.
Haha yeah it's the worst feeling but at least we got to see what they were ? We should go for a fish mate

I never use circle hooks for Jew and well first one grabbed the bait and took a decent run then the hooks pulled sadly :/ second fish got it to the boat would been metre fish but my missus went to net it and stuffed up and must of ripped the hook out or something and lost it

I lost one with the father in law. The current was pumping, I should have drifted as soon as I hooked up. I also wasn't using circle hooks.

Put the tinny in east Gosford just before lunch. Would have liked to go earlier but my son has swimming lessons early sat morning.
Headed over to paddy's channel near the racks. Tide was rising and some good current moving through. Slow moving with the electric in about 1 metre of water on the weedline I sighted some big bream darting about, they knew I was there despite my stealthiness. Pretty hard when the sun is overhead and water is shallow. I anchored up and pumped a burley trail. sent two floaters out, one a SP and one a bait. Got a few nibbles but no hook ups. I left my bream stick at home foolishly, I had 10lbs mono, maybe 6lbs could have yielded different results.
I decided to head over to the rip bridge and try for Jew. I caught a squire (released) but other than that no luck.
Last stop was Gosford rail bridge. Flicking softies around the pylons I managed a few just legal tailor. I live baited one for the elusive jew but still no luck (maybe if it was dark I might have gotten lucky). All fish released unharmed (mostly).
Got back to the ramp late afternoon and called it a day. No feed for the family unfortunately but still had a great time by myself and got a chance to get some fuel through the outboard during winter. Next time I'll go at dawn and get the wife to take the boy to swimming lessons. I'll bring the bream stick too and get some of those weedless jig heads to troll for flatties. Thanks for reading.

Nice catches!
A couple weeks back near that area i kept hooking what i can only assume as big bronzies - had me stretched and kept losing them with 60 & 80lb trace either being bitten or rubbed through.
Must be plenty around atm!
Yeha mate there is a lot of them there around the 80cm-1m mark but have got one around the 5-6ff mark

Deepwater with a nasty shore dump- not your classic beach formation normally- does hold whiting /dart /tailor at times

Mate some of those fish (porcupine/puffer) are extremely toxic with venom more potent than cyanide. Do not handle them just cut the line.
Only if you eat them mate

All ledges at hill60 produce squid. The rectangular end looking ledge is the best spot but the others produce as well. Best jig is a spiked yellowtail but the lures produce just as well. If you need me to map the place I can do that for you.
Port Breakwall also produces squid ocean side (bout halfway up, only squid here when swell is calm)
Thanks mate appreciate it and sure that would help if u don't mind mate
