Apparently mullet do eat worms, I was using a worm plastic. So it's possible!!! This is good -- I don't have to bother with bread!

Although a regularly targeted species in this waterway, I was surprised to catch a large mullet today -- on soft plastics. It took a Berkeley powerbait worm. After being surprised I could catch a mullet on plastics, and after nearby fishers were surprised I released it, I had great fun.
