  1. Heading out from palm beach
  2. Hit the FAD on the weekend, landed a few good Dollis. Bigger than years past, given its January. Was looking to do some live baiting for marlin, but unable to gather live bait out wide. Found bait balls, could not raise them nor my target. Can anyone offer GPS marks for live bait out wide, or is it a gather them before you head out type issue.
  3. What time did you catch him?
  4. Finally got out for a fish on the weekend. Looking for Jew outside, but a few hits, no hook ups. The by-catch was worth the trip, Trag, some pan size snapper and thumper bream with smaller Taylor good for vac sealed frozen flesh baits to finish it off.
  5. Solid Gold bars. I feel for you, with the fishing peaking when your out of worms.
  6. Mine only went 22-25 based on the salted up leftovers.
  7. Cheers, i have a dozen spots in and around Pittwater, i guess I'll have to stock up prior to heading up the river next time. Now you mention it, they are all sand, light weed or rock bottom.
  8. Got out for a fish on Saturday up the river (Near the rail bridge), dropped the crab trap again, then tried to for live bait. Was close to dusk had no luck. Was looking to live bait for jew overnight. If anyone can point me to a spot up the river yellow tail can be caught, i would appreciate it. Anyway the by catch was a 44cm flathead and 29cm Bream. Ducked outside off newport Sunday for a surprise under anchor in close Sabos, only under size flatties on the drift, huge mowy. But the by catch was slimmies, taking big size 4 hooks. They light up the finder, sea temp online said 21.7 we took in 23. Offered up the live slimmies under ballons at long reef but no king takers, then the wind picked and we called it a day. The crab trap produced again, but just blues Swimmers no muddies yet. Any tips on yakka up the river?
  9. One in Pittwater for zero, One up the Hawkesbury for three, the lobby pot off the light house for zero. Was looking for muddies, that was the target for the Hawkesbury trap. Might try Brissy Waters next time. Cheers
  10. Went out for a Jew, came home with some Snapper. To avoid coming home empty handed we deployed an insurance policy in the form of a few Crab traps and Lobby pot. Picked up a few Blue Swimmers, zero on the lobby. About five or ten years ago, I was able to catch them in December, is anyone having any luck with them yet?
