It's an Excel Composite CR4126 and now has grips, reel seat and thin layer of epoxy on wrapping for protection while guides are done.

A mate is making me up a custom blackfish rod which I'm pretty excited about!
It's 10'6" one piece, 4 wrap for harbour fishing.
I know he told me what blank it is but cant find that right now .. .

Apparantly in Sydney, turning on BOTH those little Blinky lights means you can stop anywhere, anytime, anyreason and it's OK!

A long time ago I worked at CSIRO testing water samples from streams for heavy metal contamination. The water was crystal clear (and bloody cold!) but the heavy metal content was off the charts in some places!
Do NOT take water clarity as general indicator of water purity, it all depends on the history of the area.

I've caught a small tailor, hooked up what looked like a trev and had a small school of 4' kingies follow as I was winding in.
Interesting what will take or chase a weed bait.

Nice way to spend some family time . .. . on the water fishing. Catching a variety of fish is the cherry on top!
