Yea i know. But if you know where the bigger fish are please fill me in. Cant go into the harbour everyman and his dog is there (land based). You take the boat out on the hawkesbury 12hrs + on the water and only manage to pull up 2 under sized flatties. Would love to try a larger flatty or even a kingie. Cheers thanks for that. I ended up getting the raider. Feels really nice with the whole setup and now the boat is all up to spec safety wise just need to locate the fish. Mate had the same thing on the hawkesbury was ridiculously quiet. I dont know whether it is bait conditions were perfect. Caught a 55cm flatty on plastics couple weeks ago just under the bridge before you get to brighton beach Sent from my SM-G928I using Tapatalk

So live tested the 5k fk. A real delight of a reel i ended up also pairing it with the new shimano snapper raider 762 5-8 kg rod. Spooled it with 20lb sunline pe. Pulled up a 55cm flatty with ease. Sent from my SM-G928I using Tapatalk

So we thought we would take the boat out yesterday. Launched from parsley bay 5am ish. We were running late but lucky we got there when we did. Made our way to juno point. Struggled to get yakkas until about 1pm. Did not get a single run. Made our way back to the channel markers and got 2 small flatties 25 and 35cm on plastics (thrown back). Fished till about 10pm last try was the rail bridge and my mate caught a soapie bout 30cm on pillies. How did everyone else go.? Sent from my SM-G928I using Tapatalk

Yea my 3000 symetre does the same thing. I bought the 5000fk 2 days ago. For $289. No rod. Was planning to get the snapper raider. Got it spooled with 20lb sunline. Yet to test it. Does your handle have the tiniest of wobbles.? Sent from my SM-G928I using Tapatalk
