  1. Heaps of squid in the bay, have to move around a little to find what depth they are sitting in but once found you should have no problems.
  2. There have been a few getting caught, some big ones out banks. PM sent PHA.
  3. Hoooooollleeyyyy Dooolllleeyyyy All this chaos after some simple questions. Flour is explosive too...... better not let the wife bake anymore cakes!!! Job looks good there Squidmarks, A friend of mine recently coated his alloy interiors in a commercial grade vinyl and they look smick! Might be worth investigating? I can find out exactly what and where if you would like?
  4. weather wasn't great last week, wind, seas and rain!! Im back at work this weekend but will be back down next week to have another crack.. due to get some nice kings!! Thursday / Friday morning will be my 2 picks at the moment.
  5. I seen you Farvos, we were on middle ground when you came in, I then headed out for some flatty drifts. Was a pretty quiet day for us. We got some squid and had a look around middle where the week before Id gotten some nice reds, but seems the warmer water shut them off? Couldn't find kings either... Guess I cant complain, the previous 2 months had been good to me so was due for a slow day. We did end up with a bucket of flatties which filleted up made up some great dinner that night!
  6. I use it works great and defiantly helps with less tangles. easier to tie a few at home! I find it easier to just twist from 1 end with the other end still on spool and in the middle you can use spare hand to help the kink form. I also pull all the twists out to tighten the kink end then allow to twist back up. do some goggling there are better explanations out there.
  7. Will be out tomorrow lunchtime id say. Try for some kings then go chase snapper. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
  8. 5 turn uni knot for me too, 4 turns in heavy stuff... never had an issue. use it upto 80lb no worries.
  9. light bars don't increase long range and like HID's are not the ideal light for the human eye. It will open a can of worms, but a good halogen is still the best (in my opinion of course). They do however light up the immediate area well, the 10w are the go but much more expensive that the 3w ebay jobs, although I do run one on my farm ute and it does the job. If you want to turn light into day try a set of fyrlyts 250's.. Yep, they can get you for anything, including having an empty window washer bottle if they want! Hunting lights on roofs are illegal, any rearward facing white light that can be switched on without being in reverse (like work lights) there really is very little you can do without pushing some law

Biggest issue with launching is the trailer! Big boat is easy to launch if you have the right trailer! I also agree, get it over 4.8m
  11. You can now have single lights, this was changed recently to bring the ADR rules up to spec with the new generation of light bars. You cannot have them above the line of the bonnet, so no roof mounts and not on top off bullbars. This rule has always existed. Best bet is to spend the money on a good set of driving lights that do the whole lot
